I was brought up as an Olds boy. Delta 88 Royale with a 350 in it. Cutlass GT with a 3.8L then a 300 hp STS 4.6L Northstar, then another 3.8L. Olds Aurora, 4.0L Northstar. Then my Caddy. I like Olds' because they are good reliable cars. And i HONESTLY dont think the styling on my Cutlass GT is grandma. Anyway, when it had the northstar in it, it would burn out at 30mph, honest to god! It would smoke almost ANYTHING. I see the granny side of older GM vehicles - yes, but then again, I appreciate all cars for being cars, not because of where they came from or who drives them. Im not prejudice. Now, onto the Euros and Japs: Euros: I applied to a BMW dealership before the Caddy one. I didnt get accepted. I love BMWs. I started out with cars because of my fascination with BMWs. No joking. However, I would rather not pay the extra 20K for a 740IL that isnt even close as nice as my Caddy. The 3 letters BMW on the back dont cut it for me, not worth the extra $$$$. As for Benzes, i dont like them. I like them as cars, but i think they are over priced immitations of BMW's. They are rediculously priced. Who the hell sells a 125K dollar car without foglights?? !@#$ THAT!! Japanese: Acura RL is an Accord engine. Plain and simple. Add heated seats, better stereo, sunroof, bump the price up 40K, you have the "top of the line" Acura. Obviously this is a bit steep - yes, but in realism, ive been working with the numbers of these cars for years, and the Japanese luxos JUST DONT CUT IT. They are not yet ready to be up to the level of American luxos OR German luxos. I TAKE ANYONE, ANYONE on for this challenge. Find me a Japanese luxo car that you think is THE SHIT, and think that my Caddy is a waste, and come take a ride with me. I guarantee in 5 minutes youll wish you never paid a cent for that Japanese luxo. Like I said, for a person who sells them and deals with them, TRUST ME ON THIS. Japanese cars are GOOD PRODUCTS. They are, but they just dont cut it quite yet. Thats my 2cents, plus a buck 50,
